Littelfuse MHP-TAT18 Series Breaker | DigiKey Daily

Littelfuse MHP-TAT18 series breaker is a compact metal hybrid PPTC device with a high current rating to help designers meet battery safety requirements of higher capacity lithium polymer and prismatic cells used in laptops, ultrabooks, tablets and other portable devices. The MHP-TAT18 provides a hold current of 18 A and multiple activation temperatures from 72°C to 90°C. The device combines a bimetal protector in parallel with a PPTC device that acts as a heater to keep the protector latched until the fault condition is removed, with the device resetting at 40°C. The breaker also offers very low leakage current and low resistance to maximize battery life.
