Surface-Mount Haptics, Mics, and Speakers

PUI Audio is expanding its product offerings in three categories: microphones, haptics, and speakers.

The microphone category now offers three unidirectional microphones: two high-definition ECMs (TUM-1842L-HD and AUM-5241L-HD) and one MEMS unidirectional microphone (AUMM-3842). The AUMM-3842 distinguishes itself as a unidirectional microphone in a market predominantly populated by omnidirectional counterparts.

Next is a surface-mount linear resonant actuator (LRA) featuring a patent-pending design, making it reflowable and washable through seamless automatic pick-and-place operations. The HD-LA1307-SM measures just 13 mm x 13 mm and delivers 1.8 G maximum acceleration in a linear direction at a resonant frequency of 154 Hz to provide immediate, high-resolution tactile feedback.

Finally, a range of 40 mm speakers featuring various mounting options and performance specifications is offered. Additionally, there is an 18 mm speaker with high-temperature surface-mount capabilities, catering to specific applications in the medical, consumer, and industrial sectors.
